JEANNE TRESVAUX DU FRAVAL

A graduate of the School of Decorative Arts in Paris in 2020, Jeanne Tresvaux Du Fraval also studied at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and at the Beaux-Arts in Paris-Cergy. Visual artist and designer, her practice explores common phenomena and tries to reveal them in order to give them new attention. In 2021, Jeanne Tresvaux Du Fraval trained at Hermès. A first solo show at None Atelier in 2021 will allow the young visual artist to create pieces on the borderline between function and installation. Drawing inspiration from the archives of catalogs of industrial objects. Jeanne Tresvaux Du Fraval explores objects by deconstructing them. Through drawing, ceramics, clothing and installation, she deploys an ambiguous and self-replicating mythology of objects: the weft replaces the useful, paper replaces porcelain, the archive has a function of use. Between the quilted grids and the millimeter templates, the human body no longer seems to be there except as an abstract reason for the accomplished form of the functional object. Jeanne Tresvaux Du Fraval develops modular systems, in order to play
with the elements. All its parts are equipped with a system
hook, like an eyelet, a handle, a rope... so as to be
archived. Currently finalist in the Design Parade of the Villa Noailles.
